Night School

Currently, the only Night School course available is Cooperative Education (co-op) and is available for students aged 16 and over and provides a pathway to graduation.

Registration for Night School Co-op is now being offered as part of our continuous intake model. Students can now apply for Night School Co-op until March 11, 2026 of this school year.

The goals of Night School Co-op is to provide students the opportunity to:

• Take co-op if they are unable to do so during the regular school day due to scheduling.
• Access placement opportunities that are not available during the regular school day.
• Earn the compulsory and/or optional credits they need to complete their Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
• Earn co-op credits required for a Specialist High Skills Major in an area that involves evening work.

Additionally, Night School Co-op can engage returning students who were early school leavers by providing an opportunity for learning in the workplace.

Timing/important dates

• Wednesday, October 15, 2025 – First intake day (intakes will occur bi-weekly after this date).
• Monday March 11, 2026 – Last intake day.
• Friday, June 19, 2026 – Last day for students to earn Night School Co-op hours.
  • NOTE: All work must be submitted by Friday June 5, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.

To register, please complete the following documents:

• Night School Co-op Registration Form
• Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Form – Participant, Section 1; and
• Work Education Agreement

Email the signed and completed forms to [email protected]. All of documents listed above must be submitted in order for the application to be considered. Once the forms have been reviewed, students will receive an email with their application status and intake information.
