Use the Get Set (Skills, Education and Training) program to develop reading, writing, math, computer and other skills to get further education, apprenticeship training and employment. Formerly the Literacy and Basic Skills program.
Through the Get SET program, individuals access five services that contribute to the successful completion of a learner plan:
This program helps to improve your reading, writing, math, digital and other essential skills.
You’ll work with a service provider to put together a learning plan and develop the skills you need to achieve your goals of further education, training, employment, or independence.
You must be a resident of Ontario and at least 18 years old.
This program is for people who have reading, writing and/or math skills below the grade 12 level. Your level will be assessed in relation to your individual goals when you enter the program.
You must be able to speak and listen well enough to benefit from lessons in the language of instruction (English or French).
Your service provider may ask for additional requirements.

Beginning the week of July 6, the TLDSB Lindsay Education Centre is open to the public Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Muskoka Education Centre is closed to the public over the break.
All school buildings will be closed to the public for the summer break beginning Monday, July 6, reopening on Tuesday, September 1.
The first day of school for both elementary and secondary students is Tuesday, September 8. Note, Kindergarten students will have a staggered start.
